DRYER VENTS ONLY™ was built on the need of necessity. As a professional sharpening service, for over 19 years, (Sharpco Sharpening Service LLC, our parent company), we service many different types of facilities, such as, pet grooming salons, barber shops, hair salons, veterinary clinics, and animal shelters. They all have a common appliance and therefore a common problem...the CLOTHES DRYER. Due to these facilities having excess hair, fur and dander, clogged vents happen in a shorter time, which can lead to deadly dryer fires, increased utility bills and costly dryer repairs or replacement. As our name implies, DRYER VENTS ONLY™
services only dryer vents. We receive many inquiries regarding HVAC air duct cleaning; we do not perform air duct cleaning services. We stick to dryer vents, and our focus has allowed us to become extremely proficient. We encourage anyone looking for air duct cleaning to contact your local HVAC vent cleaning company.
Dryer Vents Only™ specializes in the proper cleaning and maintenance of residential and commercial dryer vents. If you have a blocked or clogged dryer vent, or your clothes are taking longer to dry, it's time to have your dryer vent cleaned and sanitized. This will ensure a safe and efficient appliance, as the National Fire Protection Association has determined that 92% of house fires involve a clothes dryer.
INSPECT
All of our visits begin with a thorough inspection of your dryer ventilation system. This includes transition duct and termination vent. We will do an air flow reading before and after your cleaning.
At this time, we will determine which cleaning process is best for your situation. We use a combination of high-pressure air and/or rotating brush system.
Our certified and experienced technicians are capable of handling any problem you may have, from cleaning dryer vents, to installing and rerouting exhaust ducts, to replacing termination vents.
HIGH PRESSURE AIR CLEANING PROCESS
This process is a bit different than most other companies. When we first clean a vent, we first inspect the rear of the dryer. our inspection is to ensure that the vent is properly connected. We then go to the termination vent outside, take an airflow measurement, using an anemometer and insert a reverse air skipper tool. Our tool is powered by compressed air, and it loosens any debris inside the vent. The air which is shot through the tool is released backwards, which allows us to blow any loosened debris outside of your vent. This cleaning is done with the dryer running. The airflow from the dryer aids in pushing any debris/lint out of the dryer. It also allows us to ensure that the vent has not become disconnected or clogged during cleaning. Once the cleaning process is completed, we will take another airflow reading. Through this process we often can clean the vent without moving the dryer.
Why does our approach differ from our competitors?
The equipment we use, high powered truck mounted air compressor and duct cleaning tools are for professional use and cost thousands of dollars compared to the hardware brands you will find in your local stores. Our company does carry professional brush systems that can be used when the need arises.
Hiring a CSIA® Certified Exhaust Technician® means you are trusting your home and family to someone who has spent countless hours studying for (and passing) an extensive exam covering everything from the proper inspection and maintenance of dryer vents to the applicable codes and standards relating to these systems. Many of the current CSIA® CDET® professionals have participated and passed a rigorous two-day workshop where they have learned directly from some of the most respected experts in the chimney and venting industry.
Anyone can call themselves a "technician" and advertise their services online or in the local newspaper, but that means nothing.
The CSIA® CDET® credential is the only nationally-recognized credential of its kind.
